Colour Study i is an exuberant colour statement.  In this work Esther has composed a piece using an unusually varied colour palate.   The painted collage is made up of individually painted squares and rectangles of high-grade watercolour paper.  The hand cut miniature paintings are composed, layered, folded and finally mounted ‘floating’ in the frame.  The three dimensional quality of Esther’s work means that the piece appears differently as the viewer changes position or as the lighting shifts around the image.
